Inglese - help with Syncro maintenance in Italy

Hello syncro friends.
We are a British family touring Europe in our T25 syncro.
We appear to have picked up some wear and tear comming through the Alpine passes of Switzerland and Austria, we get a clicking comming from the front right which we believe to be the front outer CV joint. This is not currently causing any problems on the highways but is something we'd like to get fixed sooner before it becomes a problem.

We are wondering if you have any syncro companies or spares suppliers who would be able to supply and fit an outer CV joint. We are currently in Pisa and are traveling to Rome tomorrow, and continuing south in a few days.

Any help would be appreciated. Are there any Italian syncro forums which you could direct me to.

Alastair, I just sent you a private message but unfortunately I'm not too familiar with syncro specific stuff.. however I'm writing a short summary of your post in Italian hoping to get some responses from the people in the north and with more info on syncros..

In sommario, qualcuno potrebbe consigliare un buon meccanico per syncro fra Pisa e Roma o anche più al sud? Per trovare ricambi sempre per syncro in Italia a chi potrebbero rivolgersi?

Appunto, CV joint significa giunto omocinetico, in italiano.

Non è proprio lo stesso, perchè questo che hai indicato sopporta un agolo di inclinazione maggiore rispetto all'originale VW, di solito questi giunti li mette chi rialza il proprio syncro aumentando appunto l'angolo di inclinazione del semiasse... volendo si può montare lo stesso, credo, ma se gli altri sette giunti che ha sono gli originali VW prenderei un originale.

It's not properly the same, this CV joint can work at more inclination degrees than the VW standard CV joint. This genre of CV joints are mounted by people who lifts up their Syncros to get more ground clearance. If there are no other ways I believe you can mount it, but if your other 7 CV joints are the VW standards, I think the best way is order a VW standard CV joint, like your 7 others, to don't do a mistake of different CV joints.
